Welcome to 4th Grade Spanish
My name is María Carriazo. I am from Spain. I was born in Toledo, but I have been living and working as a Primary English and Spanish teacher for 16 years in Madrid.
I studied my degree in Primary Education Teaching, specialist in English, at the University of Salamanca. Since I was a child I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I love my job!
It is my first-year teaching at St. Anthony´s School, but it is not my first time in USA. From 2009 to 2012 I worked in Holy Family Catholic School in Dubuque, Iowa. I loved to teach Spanish to kindergartens and first graders.
It was an awesome experience which I lived with my husband and now I am looking forward to teaching your children at St. Anthony´s School.
This time, I am travelling with my husband and my two daughters, Alicia who is 4 and Sara who is 19 months old.
My hobbies are: reading, travelling, dancing and making arts and crafts.
I am thrilled to be back to Iowa and to be able to share my knowledge and faith with your children this year!
